Who Says AIM in class isn't useful?

Today I witnessed an amazing testimony to the usefulness of AIM in class.

Student A's laptop was about to die. Student A had a Mac. The closest other Mac user was 7 seats over, and across the aisle. Luckily for the sad Mac user, everyone in that line of seats was on AIM and paying very little attention to class. (It was crim law, after all.)

IM's were quickly sent to everyone in the chain, and the cord passing commenced. The laptop was saved, and no goofing off in class was missed. All hail to the power of AIM.
