To all of you that have amazing plans to get ridiculously intoxicated tonight, I salute you. I, unfortunately, will be sitting at home and probably be in bed by 10 because I have strep throat. What a way to start 2007.On the upside, when the fever hits 104, I start having mild hallucinations, so that's fun. Wait, no, it's really not. Damn. Well, everybody drink one for the Lioness tonight.

The whole tradition behind kissing on New Year's Eve at midnight comes from the idea that how one spends the first moments of the new year will set the tone for the entire year. Hence, people kiss to set the tone for the new year for "romance" or love or what have you...
Needless to say, this does not bode well for your current situation and the upcoming year.

Either way, lucky for me, I think your assumptions have already proved wrong. I'm feeling better, did get that New Year's Kiss after all, and USC won on New Year's Day. Can't really ask for a better way to start 2007.
Nope, "Be nice to morons" wasn't on my list this year. Maybe next year!
